Project Update (Nov. 2022): Huntington Beach Channel and Talbert Channel Repair Project

CURRENT STATS

• Construction is 70% complete with an anticipated completion date of August 2023.
• 17,000 linear feet (36M+ pounds!) of sheet piles have been installed. 100% complete!

PROJECT MILESTONES

Eader Park Bridge Now Open to Public With some delay from the planned re-opening date in September, we can now report that the bridge is open to the community. Thank you for your patience in the process!
Pile Driving 100% Complete The installation of all steel sheet piles for the project was completed on Nov. 3, 2022. Equipment (press-in pile driver, vibratory hammer, crane) used for pile driving has been removed. Other equipment such as loader, backhoe, skid steer, dump trucks, concrete trucks, and other miscellaneous equipment will remain in use to complete the remaining tasks for the project.
