Shifting of Driving Lanes/Closed Lanes
PROJECT SUMMARY
OC Public Works is reconstructing the bridge structures at all three locations to support the flood control operations of the channel spanning below each bridge (two bridges in progress, one bridge starting soon).
WHAT
Upcoming change for drivers along Warner Ave and Edwards St in Huntington Beach!
While temporary lane closures will continue, driving lanes will shift to other side of affected bridge.
With construction activities being completed along sections of the Edwards Street and Warner Avenue bridges, construction activities will move to other sections of the bridges — requiring a change in open/closed lanes, requiring a shift of driving lanes:
On Feb 9, 2024 (starting at night) - Warner Ave bridge
Lanes on south side of bridge will temporarily close. Driving lanes will shift to north side of bridge.
On Feb 14, 2024 (starting at night) - Edwards St bridge
Lanes closed on west side of bridge will re-open (one lane in each direction); lanes on east side of bridge will temporarily close. Driving lanes will shift to the west side of bridge.
WHERE
In Huntington Beach at the following bridge locations:
1. Warner Ave bridge - 700-feet west of Springdale St, and;
2. Edwards St bridge - 500-feet north of Warner Ave
3. Springdale St bridge – 500-feet north of Warner Ave: Lane closures will start in late Spring 2024
WHEN
Feb 9, 2024 (starting at night):
Lane shifts at WARNER AVE bridge location
Feb 14, 2024 (starting at night):
Lane shifts at EDWARDS ST bridge location
