Construction Alert: Red Hill Service Area Road Slurry Seal (July-August 2022)

PROJECT SUMMARY

OC Public Works will complete a RAP Slurry Seal project on various streets in the unincorporated Orange County area of Red Hill. Door hanger notifications will be distributed and “No Parking” signs posted in construction areas 48-hours in advance of work.

WHAT

Work consists of applying the RAP Slurry Seal and the removal and reestablishment of traffic striping and pavement markings.
• Area motorists and other road users including residents, businesses and adjacent schools may experience traffic delays when traveling through the project areas. Temporary traffic control and detours will be in place to minimize impacts.
Pay attention to flaggers directing traffic past active work locations.

July 2022 — August 2022
Working Hours
7 a.m. — 4 p.m.

The construction schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather and other factors.

WHERE

See map in attached PDF notice. Work is planned for the blue highlighted segments of the following streets:

Beverly Glen Dr, Browning Avenue, La Loma Dr, Park Skyline Road, Red Hill Avenue, Skyline Drive, Wyndham Court and a segment of La Colina Drive (between Browning Avenue and just east of Ranchwood
Road) and the alley north of it.

AFTER THE PROJECT

...the street surface will be pliable for several weeks and traffic may cause scuff marks. To help reduce marks, avoid turning your steering wheel while stopped. 

...the contractor will sweep to remove gravel/sand that breaks away from the road surface.
