The Project Management Division (PMD) is an "internal service provider" to other OC Public Works divisions. It is composed of two sections: 1) Project Management & Regulatory Permits, 2) Utilities.
The Project Management & Regulatory Section provides environmental (CEQA/NEPA) and state and federal regulatory permitting. The permitting agencies we work with are Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, California Dept of Fish and Game, California Regional Water Quality Control Boards-Region 8 and 9, and the California Coastal Commission. This Section also manages specific road and flood control capital improvement projects and special projects.
The Utilities Section provides full service utility coordination with over 100 utility companies including electric, gas water, and railroad companies.
