The Open House Kicks Off National Public Works Week May 18-24
ANAHEIM, CA—Orange County Public Works hosts its annual Open House, Collector Car and Motorcycle Show on May 17th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Katella Yard Facility.
This year’s event features an Alternative Fuel Vehicle Expo and exhibits on construction equipment operation, graffiti abatement, road engineering, pump station and dam operations, County trails and other displays. Kids will see heavy duty construction equipment up close, have the chance to play in an air-filled jumper, and can participate in many interactive activities. There will be free hot dogs, chips and drinks for all visitors.
“At its core, Public Works provides and maintains safe flood control and road systems. We also provide services for regional, municipal, private sector and County clients,” commented Ignacio Ochoa, Director of OC Road and Flood/Chief Engineer, “This is why I am delighted to invite the public to our Open House. I’d like them to experience firsthand the broad spectrum of services and programs that we offer to residents of this County.”
The Open House will be located across from the Honda Center at the Katella Yard Facility at 1750 Douglass Road in Anaheim. For additional information on the Open House, please call (714) 567-6300.
