County Assists Residents by Hosting Community Clean Up Day
UNINCORPORATED ANAHEIM, CA—The County of Orange's OC Planning / Neighborhood Preservation Unit in collaboration with OC Waste & Recycling, is inviting Anaheim residents to partner with our volunteers for a Community Clean Up Day.
As a way of assisting and reaching out to the community, this event will be an opportunity for the County and the waste hauler to work alongside residents with the goal of a safer, cleaner and healthier community. Volunteers are welcome. Republic Services will be placing 11 large dumpsters throughout the West Anaheim Unincorporated Islands for residents to bring large household items free of charge for disposal or recycling. Common household items include: sofas, chairs, desks, tables, shelving units, mattresses, refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, water heaters, ovens, lawn furniture and children's toys.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The locations of the dumpsters for disposal or recycling common household items for collection are as follows:

Community Cleanup Event
The E-waste collection will be held at the Church of Power (Iglesia de Poder) at 9501 Cerritos Avenue, Anaheim. Anaheim residents will be able to bring electronic components, such as computer monitors (any size, any kind), TV's (any size, any kind) computers, laptops, gaming systems (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, etc.), fax machines, copiers printers, typewriters, calculators radio/stereo equipment, and DVD/VCR players free of charge.
The household hazardous waste materials listed below should be disposed of properly at an Orange County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center. This is a free service. For the Unincorporated West Anaheim area residents' convenience there is a collection center at 1071 N. Blue Gum Street, Anaheim, CA 92806. The County's Collection Centers are open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Information about the household hazardous waste disposal is available at 714-834-6752 and Orange County landfills.
