A request for Coastal Development Permit and Variance approvals required for the demolition of an existing residence and the construction of a three-level single-family residence with attached garage.

PROPOSAL: The Coastal Development Permit is required for the demolition of an existing residence and to construct a new single-family dwelling in the Emerald Bay Local Coastal Plan area, with associated grading.

The Variance is required to permit a rear yard setback of 5 feet where the Zoning Code would require a 9.16-foot setback under the shallow lot provisions. ( View PDF )

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 1-22-20 BY THE ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

Subject: Public Hearing on Planning Application PA19-0152 for a Site Development Permit including a Project Specific Alternative Site Development Standard for the La Pata Transfer Station (Ranch Plan Planning Area 10)

PROPOSAL: Site Development Permit to allow for the construction of a 9.5-acre facility for the consolidation and transfer of recyclable materials collected from southern Orange County municipalities and a Project Specific Alternative Site Development Standard. The facility will operate 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, with consolidation and transfer operations occurring within an enclosed 85,000 square foot building. The Project Specific Alternative Site Development Standard will allow a maximum building height of 45 feet where 35 feet is the maximum permitted.
